Protest Against the Omnibus Regulation

EFFAT joined European trade unions and civil society to call on the EU Commission to stop deregulation and protect the Due Diligence Directives. Our message: No to Omnibus!

Solidarity with Belgian Unions: Rising Against Government's Plans

EFFAT joined more than 100,000 people on the streets of Belgium to fight against the new government's austerity plans.

EFFAT joined IndustriALL's mobilisation for more investment in good industrial jobs.

Unite the Union Members Successfully Fight for Fair Pay at Princes Group

EFFAT called on its affiliates to share their solidarity and stand with Unite the Union members at Princes Group who successfully took industrial action to secure fair pay and resist the erosion of previously agreed commitments.

€15 or Bust: NGG's Fight for Living Wages

EFFAT supported its German affiliate NGG in its major nationwide day of action in Hamburg in support of fast food workers fighting for decent pay and better working conditions.

New EWC Established in the Poultry Meat Company LDC

LDC EWC met for the first time on 2 December 2024 after its establishment in April 2024.

EFFAT Leads Coordination Calls across Major Companies

EFFAT engaged its affiliates in solidarity and coordination calls in key transnational companies (e.g. Unilever, Princess, McDonald's, and Cargill).

Just Eat Takeaway SNB Meeting

EFFAT and ETF are coordinating the establishment of a new EWC in Just Eat Takeaway. In occasion of one of these meetings, they sent solidarity to workers victim of exploitation in the food delivery sector.

EFFAT Attends EWC Meetings

In the last two months, EFFAT staff has attended EWC meetings in the following companies: Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Barilla, Cargill, Heineken, Compass, Elior, Radisson, Sodexo, etc.

EFFAT Stands Strong against the Mercosur Agreement

EFFAT has been extremely active against the Mercosur Trade Deal. During a European Parliament hearing on Mercosur organised by the S&D Group and the Greens/EFA, EFFAT reiterated its stance against the deal. Our message is clear: we say NO to a deal that undermines fair competition and boosts social dumping.

Tackling Undeclared Work in the PHS Sector

Over 150 participants from 22 countries, including national and EU agencies as well as other key stakeholders joined the webinar organised by the EU social partners in the PHS sector (i.e. EFFAT, EFFE, EFSI, and UNI Europa) to show their commitment to improving the sector.

March-July 2025 On the Streets The Fight for Agri-Workers Rights: From the Fields to the EU EFFAT along with MEPs and EU officials visited Borgo Mezzanone (Puglia), Italy's largest shanty town, to experience first hand the reality migrant and undocumented farm workers face on the ground in the European fields.
